During several recent client appointments, we’ve been faced with the task of organizing cords and cables. If you are doing a large organizing project, you most likely will not take the time to figure out what each cord/cable goes to at that time. I recommend to clients that they create a bin for all electronic cords, cables and random small computer/electronic equipment. We place all random items into the bin, so each time the client is looking for a particular cable, they know right where to find it. When working with clients, I often refer to Stephen Covey’s Big Rocks illustration. I think it is a wonderful illustration of both time management and life priorities.
