From the annual Christmas card photo to capturing the joy of a family gathering, a little bit of planning can make a huge difference in your holiday photos.
Mark your calendar for September or October of NEXT year right now. Pick a date and put "Christmas card photo planning" on it. When that date rolls around, take a few minutes to plan your Christmas card photos.
Don't wait until December 15th to decide to take the photo and then stress because it's so last minute you won't be able to get the perfect shot. Stressed out families don't take good Christmas photos!
Take a few minutes ahead of time to think about what photos would best represent your holiday gathering. Do you always eat a certain food? Do you want to take at least one photo of each member of the family? Do the kids wear special Christmas pajamas? Whatever traditions your family has, be sure to capture them this year. Make a small list of moments that you'd like to capture and keep them in your notes app or camera bag, so you'll be prompted throughout the holidays.
Whatever you do, capture those memories for the years to come!
