Your kitchen is the heart of your home.  All those parties, get-togethers, and celebrations revolve around food.  It is where connections are made and people are nourished.  Here are some ways to keep your "home heart" healthy and organize.

4 Easy Steps to Organize Your Kitchen:

1. Keep your counter tops clutter free.  If you make coffee everyday, the coffee maker can stay out.  If you use the toaster once a week, it needs to have a home in a cupboard or pantry.

2. Peruse your kitchen drawers.  Remove any broken items, rarely used items, and duplicates (Who needs 3 potato peelers?).

3. Now do the same with your kitchen cupboards.  Remove rarely used items such as: fine china, seasonal serving platters, and that bread making machine.  Store them somewhere else or better yet, donate them.

4. In your pantry, group "like" items together in baskets or bins for easy retrieval (e.g., canned goods, spices, pastas/grains, chips/pretzels, etc.).

Organize a few drawers or a few cupboards each week and your kitchen will be "party ready" by Halloween.
