Is your closet overflowing?

Are you wasting too much time every morning trying to figure out what to wear?  Are you overwhelmed with the thought of "organizing your closet"?  Here are a few ideas that you can try that don't really involve a major redo of your closet:

1.  Keep a "donation" bin or bag near your closet, whenever you pull something out that you know you are not going to wear anymore, put it in the bin.  When the bin is full, drop it off at your nearest donation center.  We LOVE the convenience of the Goodwill truck in Schnucks parking lots - in Newburgh & in NorthPark in Evansville.

2.  Implement the "1 in - 1out" rule - If you buy a new article of clothing, then you have to get rid of an existing article of clothing.  Add it to your "donation" bin.

3.  If you have trouble deciding what to get rid of in your closet, try the "hanger trick".  Turn all of your hangers backwards.  After you wear an article of clothing, put it back in the closet with the hanger facing the correct way.  After 1 year or 1 season, any hangers still hanging backwards are clothes that you haven't worn and can most likely get rid of.

Just following these few simple ideas will put you on the road to a more organized closet in no time.
