“They found our only remaining wedding picture in the cornfield last week.”
“All of Austin’s newborn pictures were found in the basement soaking wet.”
“After hurricane Andrew I only have a few of my childhood pictures left.”
“I wish I would have taken the time and invested in my pictures.”
It’s bad enough to live through such a horrific event but then to discover that your priceless memories are gone forever…
This doesn’t have to happen to you.
When asked what would be the first items to grab in a disaster our clients would say, of course, kids and pets. But photos are always top of the list. With photos being so important to us why is it we neglect to invest in their safety?
- We don’t have the time to do it.
- We don’t know where to begin.
- We don’t know how.
- The task is so overwhelming that we don’t want to take it on.
September is International Save Your Photos Month and National Preparedness Month.
To mark both events, Lasting Order is teaming up with the Association of Personal Photo Organizers (APPO) this month to bring awareness of how to organize your photos, and to make sure you have a backup of all those treasured memories. Several years ago we discovered how important organizing and preserving photos was in our clients’ lives, and we began educating ourselves through APPO with classes and training seminars so we could share what we have learned with our clients. We are passionate about what we do, and love sharing the delight and excitement when we finish a photo organizing project.
