During several recent client appointments, we’ve been faced with the task of organizing cords and cables. If you are doing a large organizing project, you most likely will not take the time to figure out what each cord/cable goes to at that time. I recommend to clients that they create a bin for all electronic cords, cables and random small computer/electronic equipment.
Bins & Twist Ties
We place all random items into the bin, so each time the client is looking for a particular cable, they know right where to find it. To keep the bin from being a huge tangled mess, I like to untangle each cord and use twist ties or zip ties to keep it from getting tangled again. If you know what the cable goes to, go ahead and label it. If not, simply place it into the bin for safe keeping.
The guy in this video (Brett) has another idea of how to keep the cords from getting tangled. Great idea!
